IS PERSONAL TRAINING FOR ME?
Is Personal Training for Me?: Image
Did you know that IDEA, the International Health and Fitness organization, released a statistic that found 75% of people who exercise are not getting the results they want? But out of the 25% of people who are getting results, 90% of them are working with a Personal Trainer.
Personal Training gets results and that's why anyone can benefit from this personal attention! Personal Training is no longer reserved for Hollywood stars and the "rich and famous"!
Are you just getting started?
The thought of entering an exercise facility and starting an exercise program without any assistance can be intimidating. Trying to teach yourself how to use all the equipment can be so confusing. I will teach you how to exercise correctly and safely. As your trainer I will provide you with enough guidance, motivation and education to ensure you establish healthy and effective exercise patterns right from the beginning.
Not getting results?
It's common to feel like the amount of effort you're putting in is not matching the reward. You won't be bored- I will change your program and show you how to get results more effectively and in less time. You will be will provided with a brand new exercise regime that will take you to a higher level of fitness and health. As your personal trainer I want to make the difference between a great workout and a "ho-hum one" - or even no workout at all!
Are you embarrassed?
Are you concerned about your weight and what people in a regular "big box" gym might think about you? My goal is to always be non-judgmental and compassionate - I will meet you where you are! Sessions are one-on-one so you can feel comfortable being yourself and learning new exercises (unless you prefer to workout with a friend with two-on-one buddy sessions.) You will not find any weight bias here - what you will find is a supportive, understanding environment and a trainer who has taken weight bias classes, who understands your needs and reservations, but will still hold you accountable and partner with you in achieving your goals.
Think you're too old to start excercising?
As we age, it's normal to not have the stamina and agility we enjoyed in our younger years. But getting older doesn't have to mean becoming a couch potato. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), all older adults—both men and women—can benefit from regular, moderate physical activity. This is true even for people with medical conditions such as arthritis, heart disease, obesity, and high blood pressure. Exercise is one of the best defenses against the toughest aspects of aging.
Some of the key benefits of exercise for older adults include:
Prevents Bone Loss, Relieves Osteoarthritis Pain, Helps Prevent Chronic Disease, Boosts Immunity, Improves Mood, Decreased Risks of Falls.
I will create a plan for you to help decrease the signs of aging and help you maintain a full and autonomous life.
Having difficulty sticking to your program?
You're not alone. Seventy to eighty percent of people discontinue their exercise program after 2-3 months. But this time, things are going to be different. One of my jobs as your trainer is to help you adhere to your program consistently. When you schedule an appointment with a trainer, you make a commitment to yourself - a commitment that your trainer won't let you break!
Are you an athlete or a weekend warrior?
Many people dream of competing in challenging athletic events. When you work with your own personal coach, that dream becomes a reality. Whether you are training for a 5km, a half or full marathon, a grueling hike or just training to improve your golf or tennis game, I will provide you with a plan for success.
Suffering from an injury?
An injury can really set you back. You have the choice of doing nothing or taking an active role in feeling better. I will work with you and your health care professional to develop a safe rehabilitation program and assist you on your road to recovery.
